Square | Square Online
An advertisement for Square’s newly updated product Square Online, a website builder with deep ties into Square’s ecosystem, allowing small businesses to easily create a website with assets already used in their physical point-of-sale terminals. An interesting twist with this project was that for a heavy typography spot, we needed to build translated versions in three dialects of Spanish, two dialects of French, and Japanese, and it had to work in 16x9, 4x5, and 9x16. There were a lot of versions.
Camp Woodward | Show Opens
Every year we tried to innovate and find a new twist on the previous title sequence. Season 8 was smoke bombs and anamorphic lenses. Season 9 was wood letters physically placed and interacted with by the cast members. Season 10 was a film photo first approach. Season 11 intermixed the cast and tricks shot in a studio. Throughout all of them, we kept it playful, stoked the vibe, and found the gnarliest tricks.

Keeper of the Ashes: The Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders
NETWORK ABC News / Hulu
Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth returns to her hometown to investigate Oklahoma’s most infamous murders. Keeper of the Ashes is the true story of three young Oklahoma girls, found murdered after their first night at sleep-away camp. The tragedy, as well as the manhunt and trial of their suspected killer, captivated the nation in the summer of 1977. But decades later, uncertainties surrounding the case continue to haunt the Tulsa community, local law enforcement, and the victims’ families.
Konrad and Paul provided cinematic treatment of archival photos, newspaper clippings, and other additional digital materials.
Finding Your Roots
NETWORK PBS
Konrad and Paul was brought on for Finding Your Roots Season 7 to help with post and update the show graphics—one of the first big additions since the show began. We built a digital version of the Book of Life made for each guest, allowing the editing team more flexibility and time to work with the archival assets. We continued our work with the Finding Your Roots team in later seasons, and the templates that we built are what the show uses today.

Webbys From Home
It was April of 2020, and it was time for the yearly Webby Awards. But of course, it was also the beginning of COVID. So our frequent partners at the Webby Awards came to us with an brilliant idea of what to do.
What The Webbys didn’t want to do: Make a long livestream nobody tuned into. Be like everyone else. Be boring.
What The Webbys wanted to do: Make a custom show for every winner, including individualized introductions, a custom award screen, their own personal 5 second speech, and let that export from a website for them to post on social media. All of that custom information would only be finalized about a week before showtime. That’s where we came in.
Besides creating all the standard animations you see in the videos, Konrad and Paul developed a way to export 524 custom videos for all the winners in two halves, so that the 5 second speech uploaded to the website could bridge the two. There was no way we had time to export all of these manually, so with some help from the internet, we built a tool for After Effects that could customize sequences, place them in a specified order, and export. Of course, that only worked correctly around 80% of time—for example, names or titles of winners over a certain length would throw off the text design—so we’d have to go in and correct those manually.
It was one of those all-hands-on-deck projects. Late nights and long troubleshooting calls. But the end result was worth it. At that very strange point in COVID, it was nice to change the conversation on the internet, even for only a day.
